Year-Round Action at the Moss Mansion
When we are able we will return to these and other exciting events at the Moss Mansion!
Our longstanding tradition on the first Saturday of June features high quality hand-crafted artwork created by regional artists and artisans in over fifty vendor booths on the beautiful Moss grounds. Hundreds of volunteers and generous local sponsors create a vibrant festival atmosphere where thousands enjoy a day of shopping, eating and activity outdoors in the first days of summer. The show is free to attend and includes food and drink booths, live entertainment and artist demonstrations.
Jurists make selections from the applications each March and announce their selections in April. It is a one-day show that attracts local shoppers and tourists from near and far. More information can be requested at firstname.lastname@example.org. Click for a copy of the most recent registration form.
This outdoor ‘men’s night’ brings together high quality cigars, premium liquors, and a top-notch multi-course meal for a memorable evening in June on the Moss grounds. Tickets sell out quickly (many reserve their tables year to year!) and the reviews are always raving.
Party for Preservation
Set on the beautiful grounds of the Moss, the evening begins with cocktails and mingling around a silent auction and art sale while live music fills the air. A multi-course dinner is served under the grand tent, with a very energetic live auction and entertainment to follow. This major fundraiser is generously supported by local sponsors, scores of volunteers, and organized by the Billings Preservation Society Board of Directors and staff. Invitations are required and are obtained by reference or upon request. Donations and portions of purchases made at this event are tax deductible.
Our annual outdoor Maze is as creepy as ever, and Horror Theater inside the museum highlights the natural shadowy side of the mansion. Board members, local volunteers, and staff have no guilt about your screams and nightmares! This is not pumpkins and scarecrows, it’s full-on haunted horror with plenty of dark humor stirred in. Bonus tours like Montana Spirits include the rarely-shared (and naturally cold and dark) third floor – reservations are required for this extra treat. Guests are encouraged to come in costume, sponsors are always welcome, and willing volunteers are required!
Beginning on November 15 each year, Christmas Tree Tours feature magnificently decorated trees in each room. Local charities and businesses use our chosen theme to create stunning trees, and as the season unfolds guests vote on their favorites. The winning trees earn small cash prizes for their chosen charity as Best of Theme and People’s Choice.
A variety of Christmas shows, tours, and parties warm the home with music, laughter, and fine cuisine. Daily and evening tours add particular delight to several winter evenings, and docents and staff enjoy greeting all who brave the winter weather to visit this spectacular place.

Tours are limited to 12 guests. Tickets are $30, reservations are required one week in advance of tour date. Call or email email@example.com to arrange Private Trunks & Treasures tours.
Come ready for fun! Rules and character assignments start at 7:00 pm, points are tallied about 8:30 pm. You can make reservations on our website and enjoy our own rendition of the popular board game.
Murder Mystery Dinners
Interactive sleuthing at its best! Three-course dinner and random entertainment keeps the mood light and the laughs hearty. Each guest has a part to play, but no one is on stage. Choose to attend a public Murder Mystery or arrange a private booking for groups of 20 to 40.
